Job description
What you’ll do
• Provide structural engineering input from concept through to construction for new builds, refurbishments and strengthening projects.
• Engage with clients, architects, and contractors; working collaboratively and communicating effectively.
• Complete site measures and site investigations.
• Respond to RFIs and undertake construction monitoring inspections.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of our tools, templates, and standard details.
Candidate profile
What you’ll bring
• Minimum 5 years’ NZ consulting experience delivering building structures across commercial, residential, education, health or industrial sectors.
• Strong working knowledge of the NZ Building Code and relevant standards and design guides (in particular NZS 3604, SCNZ structural steel, NZS 3101 concrete).
• Proficiency with Revit draughting software and coordination in BIM environments.
• Clear, confident communication and a collaborative, “dive in” work ethic.
Nice to have
• NZ Diploma in Engineering (Civil), or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in detailing structure for residential projects.
• Experience in civil engineering projects (drainage, earthworks, retaining structures)
• Familiarity with NZS 3910 contract administration
