Why TMCo

At TMCo we're all about great culture and fostering a one-office family feel with so many great staff social events across the country. Being empowered to be happy and satisfied with your work, feeling a sense of achievement and having an ability to operate how YOU want to operate is how we operate.

You will be part of a multidisciplinary team of great, friendly and helpful people who are more invested in working together for our clients than bureaucracy. We are not a corporate, and shun the cumbersome bureaucracy and corporate structure that comes with multi-national firms. Whilst growing to 80+ staff in five office across NZ in the past 11 years - we have very much maintained that family feel and agility borne from our small roots and come with 80 "can-do" team members. And we're also 100% NZ owned!

We'll provide you with a strong and supportive team environment and a company-wide culture that will assist your career development and extend your knowledge while you work on a range of exciting projects. We have a very busy social events schedule and have many sports teams to be a part of.  We offer flexible working so we’d welcome applicants that have demands on their life that need to be accommodated.

For instance, NZ's first and highest NABERSNZ rated buildings, first and highest Green Star projects and NZ's first ever certified carboNZero certified building (achieved in 2021!). We achieve practical results with balanced capex and opex solutions for our clients and do our own inhouse QS estimating - allowing us to achieve better client investment in sustainable outcomes than other companies because our clients TRUST our work and history. Our Christchurch office is about to be awarded a 5 star NABERSNZ rating too!

Salaries are very competitive. We pay by the hour with a minimum 37.5 hour full time work week. This means overtime gets paid. The base 37.5 hour salary is at least at the upper quartile of ACENZ total package salaries of 2021 and on top of  this you have overtime and bonus(es) plus surgical insurance covered and a huge TMCo paid social calendar.
